About
I get it.
Not in the polite way people say it. In the way that means I’ve been exactly where you are — carrying everything alone, pretending it’s all fine, wondering when it got this heavy — and I know what it actually takes to stop.
I’m a founder. Have been for thirty years. I know what it’s like to have it all land on you.
The story
Thirty years building. No straight line.
I know what it costs.
Not because I read about it. Not because my clients told me. Because I paid it myself — in lost businesses, in years spent building things that weren't mine, in a season of financial ruin so complete I couldn't feed my children. In a hospital bed, wondering how I got there, when all I'd ever done was keep going.
That's the thing about founders like us. We keep going. It's our greatest strength and our most dangerous blind spot.
What I discovered — in the wreckage, in the aftermath, in the long slow work of rebuilding — wasn't a better strategy. It was a fundamental belief that had been running underneath every decision, every drive, every sacrifice I'd made mean something. A belief so old I'd mistaken it for personality.
When I found it, the weight didn't gradually lift. It broke. I got back up. I always do. But this time I did something different — I stopped and looked at what had actually been driving all of it. Not the workload. Not the circumstances. The belief underneath everything.
That's the work I do. Finding the thing that's been relentlessly running you — before the business, before any of it — and making it visible. Because once you see it, it loses its grip. That's when founding actually becomes freedom.
“The work that burned me out is the same work I now help others understand. That’s not irony. That’s why it works.”
— Nuri Barnard
The method
Not another framework.
Most coaching works on behaviour. New habits, better strategies, different approaches. It helps, sometimes.
The Reframe Code goes somewhere different. It surfaces what’s been running under the surface — the belief you didn’t know was a belief, the story that felt like reality. Find that, and the thing you’ve been trying to change with effort changes on its own.
Most coaching fixes the behaviour. This finds where the behaviour started.
Working together
Come exactly as you are.
Sessions are focused and unhurried. Nothing to prepare, no agenda to follow, no performance required. You bring whatever’s on your mind. I’ll ask questions you probably haven’t been asked before. We follow what’s actually there.
You don’t have to explain what founder life feels like. I already know.
This is where sessions happen. The cat is a regular presence. Working from your actual life — that’s what we’re building toward.
In the founder community
Founder coaching doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I'm in the rooms where it's happening — the events, the networks, the conversations that don't make it into the business press. I stay current, and I'm well connected. What I bring into sessions isn't just method. It's a live read on the world you're building in — and access to the people in it.
What founders say
“I’ve been to therapy before, but Nuri’s coaching is on another level. She helped me untangle years of stress and fear and gave me the tools to move forward. I feel lighter, more focused, and truly empowered.”

“These sessions are the best thing I never knew I needed. It made me question everything I thought to be true and freed me from so many toxic beliefs that were holding me back.”

Thirty years as a founder. Twenty years coaching them. 5.0 on Google.
The life on the other side
I’m not coaching you
from a textbook.
I clawed my way to this. The open space, the dog, the kind of morning where you’re actually present in it. That’s not an aspiration I’m selling you. That’s my actual Tuesday.
